The 10th USS Jouett reunion will be held
Wednesday, October 3 through Saturday, October 6 2018
in Alameda, California

Please be aware that the dates are set but the details of the events are subject to change

Wednesday, October 3
Arrival at Executive Inn and suites

Each individual guest is responsible for making their own reservations either by calling the
hotel reservations department 510-536-6633 and asking for the group rate or
following the below booking procedure for online reservations:

Online Reservation Booking Procedure:

Go to: www.executiveinnoakland.com

and click on the "Book Now" button on the left side
of the screen near the bottom.

Enter: Arrival and departure date
Enter: JOUETT in the box entitled “Group Code”
Click on: Check availability
Click on: Continue, then make your room selection and enter personal information
Click on: Book reservation

To guarantee the discounted rate, guests should make reservations prior to Tuesday, September 4, 2018
and provide the group discount code when making the reservation.
The hotel, at its discretion may continue to accept reservations after that date, based on availability.

Guest Room Rate: Run of the House double queen or king, $189.00 plus tax and fees or an estimated $217.34 which includes free parking, Oakland Airport Shuttle, free continental breakfast, free high speed internet and complimentary individual shuttles up to three miles from the hotel.

Day in San Francisco

We are still working on the transportation details.
More to come on that.

You will be on your own in terms of activities and lunch.

There are many wonderful things to do in San Francisco.
Here are a few options:
Maritime Museum with old sailing ships and other marine interests, USS Pampanito SS383 and Jeremiah O'Brien with a cost of about $20 (limited access for disabled), Musee Mechanique many old games, etc and it is free. Shopping. Cable Cars, and the Buena Vista bar - inventor of Irish Coffee.
There are also hop on buses and bay cruises.
Since it is Fleet Week, the Blue Angels may be practicing and a Navy ship
might be in port, although the parade of ship's isn't until Saturday.

USS Hornet

The Aircraft Carrier Hornet Foundation preserves and honors the legacy of USS Hornet,
a National and State Historic Landmark, and its role in naval aviation history, the defense of our country,
the Apollo Program, and exploration of space. The USS Hornet Sea, Air & Space Museum connects
the greatest generation of Americans with future generations, educating and inspiring them to meet
the challenges they will face in the days to come.


Please note that there is a strict security policy in place regarding back packs and other large bags.
If you have a bag larger than 12”X8”X12” you will be asked to return it to your vehicle.

Free Day

Business Meeting

Blue Angels fly that day and Sunday with
excellent viewing from Faction Brewery and Rock Wall Winery.

Banquet at Coast Guard Island
Menu choices are still being determined,
A red meat dish, fish or chicken, and vegetarian/pasta choice.
We will use the JROTC from a local high school or USCG honor guard.
National Anthem by a singer from the local High School.
Transportation from hotel/base is being worked on, it is about 1 mile.
To gain access to the Coast Guard Base Security will require information about each guest.
We are still working with USCG Welfare Rec and Security on details.
Addition details will be provided as we receive them.
