WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2018
Arrive at Executive Inn and suites after 11AM at the Hospitality Room.
Rooms will be available to check in 3PM. There will be beer, wine and
soft drinks available as well as finger food. Spend the afternoon sitting
in the patio area enjoying a warm October afternoon viewing the
Oakland Estuary and Coast Guard Island or inside
in the Hospitality Room as you renew friendships.
Dinner is on your own and a list of recommended restaurants in Oakland and Alameda will be available.
The Hospitality Room closes at 9PM but if we are quiet it may stay open longer.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2018
Breakfast is available at the hotel in the lobby area.
It is a site with a view of the Estuary and is served from 6AM to 10AM
We will be boarding the bus to San Francisco at 9AM to arrive
at Fisherman's Wharf about 10 AM. The day in San Francisco is on your own.
Some suggested activities:
Musee Mechanique a free exhibition of old game machines,
World War II ships Victory Ship Jeremiah O”Brien and
Submarine USS Pampanito. SF Maritime Museum with old
sailing ships and ferries, free with a National Parks Pass,
Ghiradelli with shops and restaurants and two winery's
Wattle Creek and Bluxome Street, Cable Car turnaround
and adjacent is the Buena Vi st Bar inventor of “Irish Coffee”
There are “Hop on Hop off” bus lines to explore the city, Harbor Cruises,
Pier 39 with shops and restaurants s well as Fisherman's Wharf
This is also FLEET WEEK so the Blue Angels may be
practicing today if all goes well providing an excellent view point
and there might be some Navy Ships in port although
the Parade of Ship isn't until Saturday morning
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2018
Following a leisure morning and breakfast between 6AM and 10AM
at the Hotel we will board a bus to ex-NAS ALAMEDA and the
USS HORNET at about 11AM. Onboard HORNET you will see
space exploration information, aircraft and the module
and trailer from the first space shots. Tours are mainly
self guided but guided tours to the Navigation Bridge,
Forecastle and Engine Room are available. Lunch will be
served at about 1PM in the Mess Hall area. Ensure that
you indicate your sandwich choice when you register.
The tour will complete at approximately 4PM.
The bus will return those choosing to go to the Hotel at that time.
There are a two wineries Rock Wall and Building 43 and two
breweries Faction Brewery and Almanac Brewery on NAS.
Those desiring to visit those places please indicate on the Registration
form which you are interested in and I will arrange the visit.
Cost varies from $10 and up which would be due at the time of tasting.
I recommend Building 43 and Faction as first choices.
The bus returns at about 5:15PM to take you back to the Hotel.
Those desiring to stay later can Taxi, Uber or Lyft to the Hotel.
Dinner is on your own.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2018
Following breakfast will will have a Business Meeting at a time TBD
The day is them free to do as you wish. The Blue Angels fly today
and my recommended location is Faction Brewery or Rock Wall Winery
both located on San Francisco Bay
We will have the RAFFLE
at a time TBD and Banquet Dinner at Pier 29
6 to 7 PM Social hour, 7PM Dinner. 9PM return to hotel

Depart. A limited number of rooms are available if you desire to stay additional days.
